I am particularly interested in meeting with those who are suffering or know someone who is suffering with chronic illness and/or life-altering injuries. My experience includes a 1-year training at a chronic-pain program, and I am currently working
at Gilda's Club in Madison with people who have at some point in their lives been diagnosed with cancer, or know a loved one who has.  Friends and family of those who have been diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness are included in this emphasis of my practice.

I am also in the process of trying to put together two groups at my University Ave location:

Interpersonal Group
This is a group designed to address a wide variety of concerns for those who are interested in enhancing their relationships. It is well structured to create safety to assist group members to relate in new and authentic ways with the other group members. Do you find you're shy, distrusting, that your relationships follow a disturbing pattern, can't share part of your life, or that you have friends but little real intimacy or closeness? These and many other reasons are appropriate for this group. A brief pre-group screening is required. Please call for a free consultation.

Mindfulness-based Support Group
This group is intended to support those who wish to start or maintain a meditation or mindfulness practice as a means of addressing concerns or vitalizing their lives. The 1.5 hour session will include meditation instructions and guidance, and opportunities for group members to share about their life-concerns. Relationships developed in the group is a critical aspect of what the group has to offer. Components of mindfulness such as awareness, acceptance, non-judgment, and compassion will guide the content and feel of the group. A brief pre-group screening is required, free of charge.

If you have any questions about the nature of my practice, please do not hesitate to call me or send me an e-mail.
